Princess of the Marsh is a Jackpot Heifer Show and Futurity that is held on the last Saturday in September at NYK Cattle Company near Douglas, MB.
POTM is one of Manitoba's largest jackpot shows and the only Futurity of its' kind. Heifer calves that are shown are eligible to come back as yearlings and now as 2 year olds with calf at side. We really value our exhibitors who support us every year and the growing futurity jackpot is a great way to reward out repeat supporters. In 2017 we had over 100 head of cattle participate!
This is a dry-brush show that is meant to be good fun and a chance to get those first time heifers out for some experience. The area will be completely penned in with panels.
A canteen/grill will again be available for lunch and supper. This year it will operated by by my coworkers at Defence Construction Canada. All proceeds will be donated to the United Way.
We are always open to suggestions and we hope to make improvements every
year. Any feedback, positive or negative is always appreciated.
